At present, CEREDDA is running four flagship programmes with a number of projects, which include:

The African Democracy and Governance Programme (ADG)

The objective of this programme is to raise public awareness and generate action on the implementation of the Africa Charter on Democracy, Election and Governance (ACDEG). It has the following pillars and projects:

• CEREDDA Election Observation (CEO);
• Celebration of African Days (CAD);
• International Humanitarian and Human Rights Law (IHHL);
• Peace and Security Management (PSM);
• African Media and Integration Project (AMI);
• Local Government and Decentralisation (LAD); etc

The African Development Dialogue Programme (ADD)

The objective of this programme is to raise public awareness and debate on African development issues. It has the following projects:

• Environment, Land and Sustainable Development;
• Youth Development and Inter-generational Dialogue;
• Women in Development and Gender Dialogue;
• NGO and Civil Society Management;
• Forced Migration and Humanitarian Action;
• Development Cooperation and Africa’s Partnership; etc

The African Renaissance and Multiculturalism Programme (ARM)

The programme aims at promoting the African identity and Pan-Africanism. It includes the following projects:

• Cultural Heritage and Identity (CHI);
• African History and Political Thought (AHPT);
• African Diaspora Dialogue;
• African Public Diplomacy

The CEREDDA Publishing and Dissemination Programme

As a Think Tank and policy institute involved in knowledge production, the dissemination of research and other materials is very important. The CEREDDA dissemination programme covers modern communication tools of the print, audio-visual, and social media such as:

• The CEREDDA Publishing House;
• The CEREDDA Community Radio;
• The African Conscience Magazine, the CEREDDA Newsletter, The African Journal of Democracy and Development;
• The CEREDDA Library and Documentation Centre;
