The Centre for Research on Democracy and Development in Africa (CEREDDA) was created in May 1993 as an indigenous Pan-African Think Tank to provide civil society perspectives and African-centred framework to the continent’s democratisation, governance and development problems.
As a Think Tank, the CEREDDA enjoys collaboration with governmental and non-governmental organisations, international organisations, multinational and national companies, universities, research institutes and foundations.
Since August 2017, it has been hosting the Presidency of the Cameroon Think Tank Network (CTTN).
About Us
The Centre for Research on Democracy and Development in Africa (CEREDDA) was created in May 1993 as an indigenous Pan-African Think Tank to provide civil society perspectives and African-centred framework to the continent’s democratisation, governance and development problems.
It functioned initially on an informal basis as a reflection group with a small Resource and Documentation Centre in Great Soppo, used mostly by students preparing for their competitive public examinations.
